Guide
Ready to try your Chinese keyboard?
Start with a short HSK 1 typing session. No signup is required.
Practice HSK 1 vocabularyQuick/Sucheng is easier to start than full Cangjie, but you still need the Cangjie root-key map and efficient candidate selection. This plan uses 10-15 minutes a day for two weeks.
Set up your system Quick keyboard, then read the Quick input method guide. TypeChinese accepts your system input but does not currently show Quick codes.
The first-week goal is not speed. It is to stop scanning the whole root chart for every character.
Aim for about 95% accuracy and fewer long pauses. Short Quick codes create more ambiguity, so learning to scan candidates efficiently is part of the method.
Continue with Quick if the shorter codes feel useful. Move toward full Cangjie if candidate lists are your main constraint and you are willing to learn more complete decomposition.
