Guide
Ready to try your Chinese keyboard?
Start with a short HSK 1 typing session. No signup is required.
Practice HSK 1 vocabularyZhuyin typing becomes faster when you stop translating every symbol into a keyboard position. This seven-day plan builds that connection, then adds tones, candidate selection, and full-sentence rhythm.
Use your normal Zhuyin/Bopomofo input method and Traditional HSK 1 practice with Zhuyin hints. If the layout is unfamiliar, first read the Zhuyin keyboard guide.
Practice short, familiar words with hints visible. Look at the key only after trying to recall it. Keep a list of five symbols you miss most often.
Group errors by sound. Practice a few syllables that reuse the same initial, then a few that reuse the same final. This is more useful than randomly drilling the entire layout.
Practice common words while entering tones consistently. If your input method accepts different tone behavior, use the same setting throughout the week so results are comparable.
Enter complete words before choosing candidates. Use keyboard shortcuts instead of the mouse and slow down enough to avoid selecting a similar-looking character.
Complete one vocabulary practice with hints, then repeat a short section without looking until you are stuck. Do not turn every aid off at once.
Move to a short Traditional newspaper passage. Read a phrase ahead and try to keep moving through the sentence instead of treating every character as a separate test.
Use a new passage in the same category as day 1. Compare CPM, accuracy, symbol lookup pauses, and candidate errors. A successful week means fewer pauses and stable accuracy, even if raw speed changes only slightly.
Continue the same cycle with harder material. Compare weekly medians and use the Chinese typing speed benchmark as a reference rather than chasing one record score.
